01 / THE STUFFS COMPANY

DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Engineering / Remote (LATAM) / Full-time / Remote

Salary: 50k–85k USD

02 / ABOUT THIS ROLE

The role

You make shipping boring — in the best sense. CI/CD, infrastructure as code, observability and cost discipline for products that enterprises pay for. When something breaks at 3 AM, the system paged you BEFORE the client noticed.

What you'll do

  • Own CI/CD with real gates: typecheck, tests, security scanning, E2E — no skipped steps
  • Infrastructure as code (Terraform), reviewable like application code
  • Observability that answers questions: traces, metrics, logs — with alert rules that respect sleep
  • Cost engineering: monthly reviews, budgets, alarms — cheap clouds are engineered, not hoped for

Non-negotiable requirements (all verifiable)

  • Bachelor's degree in CS, Software Engineering or equivalent — verified diploma
  • Two verifiable certifications: one cloud (AWS Solutions Architect Associate, Azure AZ-104 or GCP Associate) AND one practice (CKA — Certified Kubernetes Administrator, or HashiCorp Terraform Associate) — credential IDs checked live
  • 4+ years operating production infrastructure — you can walk us through one postmortem you authored
  • Linux fluency — live test: you will debug a broken service on a VM in front of us
  • English C1 — runbooks, vendors and incidents in English
  • You refuse manual infrastructure: everything you touch twice becomes code

What makes you stand out

  • CSPM/security certifications (AWS Security Specialty, CCSP)- You have migrated a live product between clouds (or talked the client out of it with numbers)
  • FinOps experience with documented savings

Process

Infrastructure conversation (60m) → paid exercise (pipeline + IaC for a small service) → live debugging session. Structured scorecards, written feedback within a week.
